What is a Paint Factory class like?
In a relaxed group setting, an artist will guide you through replicating the featured painting step by step. Whether you are an aspiring Van Gogh or just looking to explore your creative side, you are sure to go home with a painting that is uniquely yours. By the end of the evening you will be amazed at the artwork you have created! Classes will be begin at their start time but we suggest arriving 15-30 minutes early to register and get the seat of your choice. Classes are approximately 2 hours with a short break.
Are children allowed?
Children must be at least 12 years of age to attend our 6:30pm classes. Family Days are held on Sundays at 2pm and all ages are welcome for only $30/painter. Family Days are a little easier and well paced for children of all ages.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! We offer gift certificates for a variety of prices. Click HERE to purchase! Or come to our studio located at 137 Main Street South and purchase one on site.
Do I need to sign up in advance?
Yes…advance registration is required. The easiest way is to register online. You will be able to view the featured painting for each class and you can request to be seated with your friends. If you have a gift certificate, you will need to call our studio directly at 320-296-8095 and register over the phone. We will need your name, email and gift certificate number to register you. Walk ins will only be accepted on a space available basis. If a class is sold out, please give us a call to be put on our waiting list. Due to last minute cancellations, we can almost always get you in!
What is the cost of a Paint Factory class?
The price for most classes is $35/painter, $40+/painter for Pallet & Specialty Classes and $30/painter for our Family Day Classes. Check us out on our FACEBOOK page and like us to stay updated of upcoming classes and any specials.
What is included in the price?
The price includes one 16”x20” canvas (or bottle or pallet depending on the class) that you paint and take home. Paint, brushes, easels, aprons and instructions are all provided for your use in the class. Special materials are provided for specialty classes.
What do I wear?
We will provide aprons, but we recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on. Remember- we are using acrylic paints so be sure to leave nice jackets and purses at home! The Paint Factory cannot be responsible for any paint damage.
Can I bring in food?
Unfortunately, no. Due to the Health Department, customers are not allowed to bring in outside food to our public classes. However, we have a variety of snacks for purchase.
What time do I need to arrive for a class?
We recommend coming 15-30 minutes early to get registered, grab a beverage and get the seat of your choice.
What is your cancelation policy?
There are no refunds for any class fees or take home kit orders. If you are unable to attend a class you have prepaid for, we are more than happy to put together a take home kit for you or you may send another painter in your place.
Note: The Paint Factory reserves the right to cancel a painting session at any time due to class size, weather, sickness, etc. If we feel we need to cancel a painting session, every attempt will be made to notify those that have signed up for the session. In the event of inclement weather, we will do our best to reschedule a cancelled session to an alternate date. If you have already prepaid for a class online, You will have the option of attending the new date scheduled or we can offer you a class credit to use towards a future class of your choice.
When does the new schedule come out?
We try to post the schedule at least four weeks in advance. LIKE our Facebook page to get a sneak peek of the monthly calendar a few days before the online posting.
I missed a painting that I really want to paint! How often will you repeat paintings?
Please let us know! We will keep this in mind when scheduling the next month’s paintings!
Do you provide alcohol?
A variety of 3.2 beer, wine coolers and other beverages are available for purchase starting at $4.
Can I BYOB?
No. BYOB is not allowed at The Paint Factory. We are protecting our customers as well as our business.
If I come with a friend or a group, can we all sit together?
We always try to seat friends and parties together…just be sure to let us know when making your reservation and we’ll be sure to make the appropriate seating arrangements.

Can I change the style of the featured painting?
Absolutely! Our guests are welcome to change up their unique art piece. Our instructors will be there to answer any questions or provide some advice.
I’m originally from Hutchinson so I’m a midwest girl at heart. I graduated from Gustavus with a degree in Psychology and English and moved to Denver, CO in 1999. I’ve spent the last 15 years in the “real world” of sales, marketing, ministry, and my passion of golf at an amazing resort/golf club. In 2010 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and life took a complete 180 degree turn. Before my treatments I went to my first painting class at Canvas and Cocktails in Denver. This studio soon became my refuge place where I could get lost in creativity and fellowship with my family and friends. Three years later, I knew I wanted to bring this concept to MN.
